How to share a password

Open the Password Details:

Navigate to the password you wish to share and click on it to open its detailed view.

In the detailed view, locate and click the Share icon

Alternatively, click the three-dot menu and select 'Share'.

In the sharing interface, click the '+' button in the top-right corner to open the organization chart.

From the organization chart, select the team members or colleagues you want to share the password with. You can select multiple individuals by checking the boxes next to their names.

After making your selections, click 'OK' button.

The selected collaborators will now appear in the sharing interface.

Click 'Save' to complete the sharing process. Once saved, the password will be shared with the chosen individuals.

Note: Only passwords you've created can be shared. Ensure that the information is appropriate for sharing before proceeding.

By following these steps, you can effectively share passwords within SafePassword, facilitating collaboration and secure information sharing among your team.

Changes and notifications for shared passwords

If you modify the contents of a password () that you have shared, a notification will be sent to the users in the sharer list informing them of the change to the corresponding password in the SafePassword.

When you edit a shared password, make changes, and save it, a pop-up window like the one below will appear, allowing you to choose whether to notify shared users of the changes. Clicking "Yes" will notify shared users of the password's updates via messenger's notification message.

Then, if you're a Next Messenger user, you'll receive notifications sent to your sharers via messenger. Notification messages will be displayed in their language used in SafePassword set by the sharerd users.

You can quickly share your SafePassword's passwords in the form of a URL (link). Sharing via link is only available to users who have been added as recipients of the password. For users with a large number of saved passwords, searching and sharing can be difficult. In such cases, it's convenient to securely share required passwords via link with people within your company (organization, workspace).

  • You must have at least "read permission(can edit)" for the password you wish to share.

  • The user (recipient) who opens the link must be included in the password's sharing recipient list. (If not, access will be denied.)

  1. Click on the password you wish to share in SafePasswordto open the password details view.

  2. Click More (⋮) in the upper right corner and select Share via Link.

  1. After reviewing the information in the pop-up that appears and clicking OK, the password link will be copied.

  2. Share the copied link with the sharing recipient via messenger or email.

  1. The recipient can click on the link provided to open the password and immediately check and use items such as the password and notes.

Shared links always follows the permissions of the recipients. Users who are not on the recipient list or lack sufficient permissions will not be able to view the content even if they open the link.

Even if the link is shared with a third party, users not included in the shared recipient list will not be able to access it.

Notice of Expiration of Sharing Period

  • For users with a specified sharing expired period among the sharing recipients, when the period expires, a message like "Access has expired. Please ask the [email protected] to share it again" will be displayed when accessing the link, and the password cannot be retrieved.

  • If you need to re-grant access, extend the user's period in the password detail pane's sharing settings, or re-add the sharing recipients, then send them the updated link.
