clockConfirming shared password expiration

Check for expired shared passwords

Passwords that have been shared with you automatically move to an “Expired” state when the sharing period (expiration period) set by the owner at the time of sharing has passed, for security and management purposes. An expired password is no longer in an active shared state. You can only confirm that it has expired, and if you want to keep using it, you must ask the owner to share it with you again.

When you have expired shared passwords, the number of expired passwords is shown in orange in the “Expired” folder in the folder list on the left.

Viewing Only Expired Passwords

If you have many passwords you own or that have been shared with you across multiple pages, you can gather and view only the expired passwords.

  1. In the folder menu on the left, select Expired.

  2. Only passwords in the “Expired” state are displayed in the right window.

  3. From this list, you can select the password you need and check its detailed information.

Checking Details of an Expired Password

When you select an expired password card, the detail view shows the following information:

  • Sharing expiration date -- Example: You can access by December 2, 2025 10:27 AM

  • Expiration status message -- Example: Access has expired. Please ask the [email protected] to share it again.

  • A note that the password is no longer in a shared state and that read or edit permissions are currently restricted, so to use it again, you must ask the password owner to share it with you once more.

Note: Unless the owner extends or re-shares it, an expired password may be excluded from typical SafePassword usage flows such as auto-fill and auto-completion.
